Tuesday September 11th, a day no one will ever forget. A working day, starting as usual but in a few minutes transformed into a horrific and cowardly act of terrorism bringing disaster to near and far. Nobody could put words to what was happening. Aftermath photos Balcony photos

This is a short résumé and thanking you all wherever you may be for your thoughts and best wishes in the middle of chaos, fear, sorrows and powerless situation we have been through together and individually.

On the fourth day after the attack on US landmarks, we return back to the city to Pierre's office to gather a few items. It was sad to look up at the skyline and facing the reality. TWC was no longer there and wondering were all the people have gone. A remote feeling making our eyes water.

The entire surroundings was closed to the public and heavily guarded to protect the crime site. We had no desire to enter the site, which is referred to Ground Zero. The American flags are seen everywhere; on clothing, on buildings, emergency vehicles, police and private cars. In many places, we saw people getting together, singing and lighting candles in memory of the missing and the ones who died. President Bush was due to arrive shortly.

We saw photographs taped or pined to walls by relatives and friend, asking if anyone have seen or heard from their loves ones. As the same time, the atmosphere was hopeful and people felt united and need each other’s support.

Tomorrow we start the healing process. Rising from the disaster and working toward building a normal working day. Life must goes on and we owe this to both the missing persons and to ourselves.

A few paragraphs for an American prayer to the nation.

“May those responsible for these atrocities
be brought to justice
and made to account for their actions
before the righteous and almighty God.”

"Let all people around the world
be protected from additional attacks
and let the world cry out its objection."

"Turn the hearts of those who, unbelievably,
are celebrating America's tragedy today.
Teach us all to work out our differences
and affirm our common bonds of humanity.”
